How to Create a New Department?

This article explains the steps to create a new department to structure your organization.

To Create a New Department:

  1. From the left menu, go to the Organization section and open the Departments tab from the top menu.

  2. Click the Create Department button located in the upper right corner.

  3. In the opened window, fill in the following fields:

    • Department Name: Enter the name of the department (e.g., Operating Room, Emergency).

    • Group: Select the group to which the department belongs.

    • Country: “Turkey” is selected by default and can be changed if necessary.

    • Time Zone: Select the appropriate time zone for your working region (e.g., GMT +3:00 Ankara).

    • Daily Working Hours: Define the department’s standard daily working duration.

      • This value is used in the calculation of overtime and legal working limits.

    • Department Label Color: Choose a color to visually distinguish the department.

    • Department Icon: Select an appropriate icon to represent the department.

  4. After entering all information, click the Create Department button.

Once the department is created, it can be used for staff assignments and shift planning.
